My 5-year old son has been taking lessons with Carolyn for about 5 months now. She genuinely takes interest in his progress and he enjoys the class. Though my son was not interested at the start his interest has grown over time. As a parent with a young child I have to follow up diligently at home. It might be helpful to provide resources for me so I can help him. If I didn’t have a musical background it would be very difficult.

My 11 year old son has been taking piano lessons with Carolyn for almost 3 years. Carolyn is an absolutely a wonderful teacher. She hand picks all the music so it suits the student’s level and interests.

It is very motivating to my son because he has a learning disability with how he processes information. Carolyn helps him understand how to read music by playing music computer games and board games which keeps him interested in playing the piano. Since taking piano lessons with Carolyn my son’s confidence has soared and he can’t wait to attend his next lesson. Carolyn has a unique gift for teaching children how to play the piano and I would recommend her as a piano teacher to anyone. She is the best!!

Carolyn started lessons with my 5 year old daughter this past fall and my daughter (and us) are loving it! My daughter has learned and memorized songs and is confident to share with anyone that will listen. Carolyn is patient, encouraging and flexible. Our daughter is learning hand position, writing and reading music from different age appropriate tools. We are happy we found her and excited to continue working with her!

My kids love her. She offers a well rounded program and opportunities for,lesson style. She emphasizes theory and has many computer games and opportunities. She has a practice incentive program as well, kids,like getting awards!

I just started my piano lessons about 4 months ago and I have been very impressed with how much I am learning. Carolyn has an extensive music background and she is so friendly and comfortable to work with. I highly recommend her as a piano teacher. She stretches you to go beyond your comfort zone with music that I truly enjoy playing. I am learning so much about reading music and music theory. She does not overload you but reviews bits and pieces as they fall into place with the pieces you practice. I can’t believe how much I am learning. I am very pleased.

Great piano teacher. Carolyn keeps older students motivated by letting them pick current songs to learn and perform at recitals. Carolyn was very helpful in scheduling my daughter’s lessons around her participation in high school swimming and nordic skiing. She understood that my daughter wanted to continue playing piano but was having some issues with time constraints. My daughter started lessons with another teacher and transferred to Carolyn during middle school. She stated she probably would have quit piano if not for switching to Carolyn.

As a fifty-something beginning piano student I was fortunate to find Carolyn to teach me how to play. Besides being a gifted pianist, she is a very positive and encouraging instructor who inspires me to work hard while enjoying it. Over the course of four years she has taught me how to play a wide variety of music including classical, jazz, blues, and pop. To further my musical development, she has encouraged me to set longer term goals by participating in the Minnesota Music Teachers Association Music Theory and Piano Examinations Programs. My daughter began her lessons with Mrs. Reisinger June of 2006 when she was just 5 years old. Now six years later, she still enjoys her lessons as much as ever if not more. Carolyn has taught her so much and so well that now one of her favorite hobbies is listening to a song on the radio and then trying to play it on the piano. Carolyn works with her students on NFMC and MMTA , piano recitals and those are wonderful experiences and confidence builders for the student. Carolyn is kind and patient which has really helped my daughter enjoy and stick to her lessons.
