Silly Scale Preparation-Making Learning Fun

Students will love this game as they are challenged to learn a variety of scales with focus on the natural, melodic and harmonic minor scales. There are a total of 54 cards in the game. Students are given various silly ways to play each scale. The game will be a studio favorite among students as a group or individually.

SILLY SCALES RULES OF THE GAME

Students take turns drawing cards from the deck. Whoever can do the most challenges correctly wins the game. Players receive one point per item completed. Each player needs to keep track of the points they have earned. This game can be played in groups or alone. Students may play for points and may be offered a reward by the instructor or parent for each task completed. Tasks that cannot be performed should be recorded on the student “to do” list.

If the student receives the have a candy card, the teacher can determine what reward will be given. The eat a worm or go eat a candy card- can be either a challenge or a reward determined by the instructor. Get out of trouble free cards can be saved for later by the student. If there is a scale that the student doesn’t know- they can use the get out of trouble card as a pass. Take a bow- the student can literally take a bow or perform any amazing feat of their choice.
